CDC Updates Chronic Disease Indicators Data

The Centers for Disease Control’s Division of Population Health has updated their Chronic Disease Indicators data. Along with many others, asthma is one of the updated indicators. Specifics include:

  • Current asthma prevalence among adults greater than 18 years
  • Asthma prevalence among women aged 18 – 44 years
  • Emergency department visit rate for asthma
  • Hospitalizations for asthma
  • Asthma mortality rate
  • Influenza vaccination among noninstitutionalized adults aged 18 – 64 years with asthma
  • Influenza vaccination among noninstitutionalized adults aged greater than 65 years with asthma
  • Pneumococcal vaccination among noninstitutionalized adults aged 18 – 64 years with asthma
  • Pneumococcal vaccination among noninstitutionalized adults aged greater than 65 years with asthma
