The Centers for Disease Control’s Division of Population Health has updated their Chronic Disease Indicators data. Along with many others, asthma is one of the updated indicators. Specifics include:
- Current asthma prevalence among adults greater than 18 years
- Asthma prevalence among women aged 18 – 44 years
- Emergency department visit rate for asthma
- Hospitalizations for asthma
- Asthma mortality rate
- Influenza vaccination among noninstitutionalized adults aged 18 – 64 years with asthma
- Influenza vaccination among noninstitutionalized adults aged greater than 65 years with asthma
- Pneumococcal vaccination among noninstitutionalized adults aged 18 – 64 years with asthma
- Pneumococcal vaccination among noninstitutionalized adults aged greater than 65 years with asthma
