CDPH Highlights Regulations Protecting Workers from Wildfire Smoke

The California Department of Public Health is emphasizing Cal/OSHA’s Protection from Wildfire Smoke regulation in an effort to protect workers during wildfire events. The regulations are comprehensive, and require employers to:

  • Identify harmful exposures
  • Communicate and Train
  • Reduce Workers’ exposure to wildfire smoke using engineering and administrative controls, and personal protective equipment
