Association of Asthma Educators Offers Asthma Education for the Community Health Worker in November; Registration Now Open 

In November, the Association of Asthma Educators is hosting a virtual training, “Asthma Education for the Community Health Worker.” The four-part program is designed to prepare entry-level community health workers (CHW) to effectively provide basic asthma management education. Additionally, the content and objectives are relevant for athletic trainers, school nurses, LPNs, RNs, CRTs, RTs, students, and any professional working with patients or families living with asthma. Certified asthma educators (AE-Cs) may find value in this course as professional development to better serve their patient/parent/advocate knowledge.  

The course provides useful tools for open communication with clients, medication adherence, and positive outcomes.  

The course costs $165. Continuing education credits are available.
