The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine has published the consensus study report, “Health Risks of Indoor Exposure to Fine Particulate Matter and Practical Mitigation Solutions.” Commissioned by the US Environmental Protection Agency and released in early 2024the consensus study considers the most up-to-date science on the health impacts of particulate matter and how to reduce exposure in residential settings. The report highlights research needs and implications of current research, as well as opportunities for incorporating them into practice.
