RAMP CHW Meeting: Self-Care for Asthma Home Visitors; 9/10

Join us on September 10th at 10am Pacific Time for a session with Brooke Briggance, Program Director of Cypress Resilience Project. Doing the work we do in the community can take a toll on our health and wellbeing. Toxic stress and burn out are real for community health workers, so we need strategies to help protect our health while we do this work. In this workshop, you will learn what happens in the brain when we experience high levels of stress, and what we can do to help our brains manage that stress and heal. This workshop will include a participant guide so everyone can walk away with a concrete plan for their individual self-care strategies. At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

Understand how toxic stress impacts health.

• Identify various types of rest the brain requires to heal.

• Think through an individual strategy for wellness that is integrated into day-to-day routines.

• Connect how self-compassion relates to wellness.
