RAMP’s Director Featured in Article on Importance of Electric School Buses for Reducing Pollution

A recent news article published by Grist, “Electric school buses are a breath of fresh air for children,” featured RAMP’s Director, Anne Kelsey Lamb. Speaking on the importance of pollution reduction for children, particularly in low-income communities and communities of color which face an inequitable pollution burden, Anne noted, “Air pollution has a cumulative effect, where the more sources of air pollution that children are exposed to, the greater the health impacts are going to be.”

The article was prompted by the Environmental Protection Agency’s recent announcement that it’s awarding nearly $1 billion in grants to 280 school districts to help them go electric.
