Study Examines Methods of Cleaning Indoor Pollutants from Wildfires

The October 2023 edition of Science Advances includes an article researching methods of cleaning indoor environments that were contaminated by pollutants from wildfires. After injecting smoke into a test house for two weeks, researchers ran air purifiers, cleaned surfaces, opened windows and doors, and used other strategies to clean the space. Data indicated vacuuming, mopping, and dusting surfaces to be most effective.
